Is it good for birthday parties?

The Colhuw Hall is particularly good for children’s parties up to the age of 12. Soft play equipment is available and the attached kitchen makes it ideal. Hall hirers must be over 18 years old and parties for over 12s will be considered on an individual basis.

Is there anything that you won’t let the hall for?

Any activities that go against the standards and values maintained by GVS, including very noisy activities. The building has close residential neighbours.

Are there problems with access and parking?

There is car parking for 17 cars, with 6 set reserved for disabled spaces, directly adjacent to the building. Further parking available nearby. The building is located two minutes’ walk from the train and bus services and is fully accessible.

Does the kitchen have…?

The kitchen has a sink, tea and coffee making facilities (available upon request), cutlery/crockery, cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer. If you have any specific queries regarding the contents of the kitchen, please contact us.

What about music?

We have a sound system. The building is adjacent to a residential area and whilst our licence allows for music up to 10pm, it must be kept to a reasonable level.

Do I have to tidy up?

Absolutely YES! You need to leave the spaces as you found them. Your bond will not be returned if you do not. You will need to bring your own black bags for any rubbish that you produce and take these away with you. Don’t forget to include your set-up and tidying up time within your hire period.
